Bios Anne M. Reynolds, Technology Specialist and Patent Agent Snapshot:
Anne is a patent agent whose practice includes patent prosecution, opinion work, due diligence and general intellectual property counseling in the areas of organic and inorganic chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. A Bigger Picture: Anne's experience includes drafting patent applications, prosecuting patents in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions, due diligence and freedom to operate analyses. She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining L&A, Anne was a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was the recipient of a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota where she was a National Science Foundation Predoctoral Fellow, and her B.A. in chemistry from Northwestern University, where she received a Chemistry Department Scholar Award. Anne has a diverse research background in organic, inorganic and biological chemistry. Her postdoctoral research involved the development of chemical tools for the study of biological systems, particularly focusing on lanthanide-based luminescent probes. Her graduate research involved the synthesis and characterization of small-molecule models of metalloprotein active sites. Anne is a coauthor of 12 peer-reviewed research articles published in a variety of journals including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Bioconjugate Chemistry, Chemical Communications, Inorganic Chemistry, Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry and Chemistry of Materials. In her spare time, Anne enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and ringing handbells, and she hopes to some day travel to all of the world’s major wine-making regions. |
