McNulty, Mark A. Miller, Thomas J. McGinnis and Sandra Szela Congdon have become associated with the firm. “We are delighted to be able to add such outstanding individuals to our firm,” said Keith Noe, LL&A’s hiring partner. “Our litigation, electrical and computer software, chemical patent procurement, and counseling practices continue to grow, and we have now expanded our ability to fully meet the needs of our clients in these areas.” He added, “The addition of these professionals to the LL&A team puts our attorney roster at 25, marking an important milestone in the strategic development of the firm.” Kevin Littman was previously an associate at Fish & Richardson P.C. in Boston. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New York. He graduated from UCLA School of Law, Order of the Coif, where he was Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Tufts University. Before entering the field of intellectual property law, Kevin was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Margaret M. Morrow, United States District Court for the Central District of California. He also has prior experience as a computer programmer/analyst for Integrated Device Technology. Kevin’s practice involves all areas of intellectual property litigation, counseling and transactions. Tom McNulty was previously an associate at Fish & Richardson P.C., and at Banner and Witcoff, Ltd., both in Boston. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Tom graduated from Boston University School of Law, magna cum laude, where he was Editor of the Boston University Law Review, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross. Prior to pursuing a career in law, he worked at Roxane Laboratories, a division of Boehringer Ingleheim, and at Titleist & Footjoy Worldwide. Tom’s practice includes patent and trademark prosecution and counseling, drafting infringement and patentability opinions, as well as patent and trademark litigation. Mark Miller was previously an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He graduated from Harvard Law School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with university honors, from the University of Illinois. While attending the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois, Mark worked on developing an expert system to automate damage control systems aboard U.S. Navy ships. He also interned as an electrical engineer at Coilcraft, Inc. developing transformers and radio frequency identification circuits. Mark’s practice focuses on assisting clients in the electrical and computer science practice areas. Tom McGinnis was previously a Summer Associate at LL&A. He graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center, magna cum laude, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, with high distinction and departmental honors, and an MSM (MBA) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Tom worked for nearly a decade in the software and petroleum industries for Radiant Systems, Inc., RaceTrac Petroleum, and Ashland Inc. Tom will focus his practice on patent counseling and prosecution in various technologies including software, computing hardware and business methods. Sandra Szela Congdon was previously a Summer Associate at LL&A. She graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center, and received both Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Sandy worked as a senior engineer at TIAX LLC/Arthur D. Little in Cambridge, MA, where she managed a laboratory effort for a client interested in entering the drug delivery market. Sandy will focus on patent counseling and prosecution in various technologies including chemical, biotech, and medical devices.
