Cambridge, MA, February 18, 2009 – Lowrie, Lando & Anastasi, LLP (LL&A) today announced the election of Robert J. Silverman and Elias Domingo as partners of the firm.

The Cambridge-based intellectual property law firm was recently listed as one of the largest IP firms in New England and is one of the fastest growing IP firms in the country. “We are excited to add Bob and Elias to our partnership,” noted Peter Lando, a founding partner of LL&A. “They each bring a depth of knowledge and skills to their practices. Bob was one of our early lateral hires and he has contributed much to the growth and excellence of our litigation team. Bob was previously Of Counsel at LL&A since joining the firm in January 2005. He has broad experience in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, and has also been involved in intellectual property counseling, transactions and prosecution. He has counseled a wide array of clients from major corporations to start-up enterprises, in industries ranging from automotive, medical diagnostics, software, electronic networking, medical devices, sporting goods and games. Specific clients have included PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences, Rollerblade, Belden, Kenexa, ManageSoft, Bio-Mimetics, and Innovention Toys.

One of Bob’s notable accomplishments was his successful defense of Rollerblade in a patent infringement action. Brahm M. Gelfand, a director of Tecnica Group USA Corporation (an affiliate of Rollerblade), noted that “thanks to Bob’s availability, preparedness, and strategic thinking the plaintiff failed to succeed in all of its objectives.” Other clients agree that Bob’s work has been extremely effective in helping their companies to succeed. Bob has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Law & Politics magazine. He has a BA degree in history from Cornell University, a PhD in the history of science and technology from the University of Washington, and his JD from New York University School of Law.

Elias Domingo

Elias was previously an associate at LL&A since joining the firm at its inception in June 2003. He has broad experience in all aspects of intellectual property prosecution, counseling, and transactions. He has represented a variety of clients, including Siemens Water Technologies, Cooley Group, Skyworks Solutions, Specialty Coating Systems, and TIAX LLC, in an assortment of technologies.
