Robert A. Skrivanek, Jr., Named as LL&A's newest partner; keith f. noe joins the firm as of counsel
Cambridge, MA, January 5, 2004 – Lowrie, Lando and Anastasi, LLP (LL&A), the newest Intellectual Property law firm in Boston, today announced that Robert A. Skrivanek, Jr., has been named the law firm’s newest partner while Keith F. Noe joins the firm as of counsel.
Mr. Skrivanek was previously an associate at Lowrie, Lando & Anastasi since joining the firm in June 2003. He has broad experience in all aspects of intellectual property and manages a large portfolio for the firm.
Mr. Noe joins the firm having served as vice president of intellectual property at Cookson Electronics, Inc. in Foxboro, Mass. He will continue to support Cookson in his new position with LL&A.

Skrivanek and Noe Deepen LL&A Offering
Mr. Skrivanek practices in the areas of computer system hardware and software, semiconductor devices, fabrication and process equipment, video compression and decompression, electronic and electromechanical circuits and systems, and medical devices. Bob was one of the attorneys who participated in founding LL&A enthusiastically embracing the opportunity to work with a group of experienced attorneys that also share in his commitment to family.
He has in-depth experience in patent prosecution, including reissue and re-examination, and has successfully argued patent matters before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Prior to joining LL&A, he was an associate at Wolf, Greenfield and Sacks, P.C. in Boston where his primary focus was the foreign and domestic prosecution of patent applications in a wide array of technologies.
Before entering the field of intellectual property law, Bob spent almost a decade designing a variety of printer hardware and software as a design engineer in the components and peripherals division of Digital Equipment Corporation, being promoted to the level of senior design engineer. Bob is a graduate of Dartmouth College, the Thayer School of Engineering, and Suffolk University Law School where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a resident of Carlisle, Mass.
Mr. Noe joins LL&A from Cookson Electronics, a leader in PCB fabrication, PCB assembly and semiconductor packaging processes and a subsidiary of the Cookson Group PLC, a $3.2 billion dollar multinational firm listed on the London Stock Exchange. In this position, he managed the company’s expansive patent and trademark portfolio including all intellectual property litigation and transactions and served as a member of Cookson’s corporate team responsible for acquiring key technologies. Prior to joining Cookson, he was assistant general counsel at GTECH Corporation of West Greenwich, Rhode Island. He began his legal career as a patent attorney at Senniger, Powers of St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to entering the field of intellectual property, Keith worked as a design engineer for Harris Graphics and as a legal intern at Digital Equipment Corporation. He graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center and received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a resident of Cumberland, Rhode Island.
