PRESS RELEASES Carla M. Levy Joins LL&A Cambridge, MA, November 29, 2005 – Lowrie, Lando and Anastasi, LLP (LL&A) today announced that Carla M. Levy joined the firm as an Associate. Ms. Levy was previously an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston. In addition to her patent litigation and opinion experience in the areas of medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and computer software, Ms. Levy has been involved in patent prosecution in a wide variety of electromechanical and computer software arts. She has a technical background in physics, with particular experience in stabilized diode lasers, optics, and signal detection and analysis at optical, microwave, and radio frequencies. “We are delighted to be able to include Carla’s litigation and technical expertise among the firm’s resources,” said Matthew B. Before entering the field of intellectual property law, Ms. Levy was a graduate research assistant in Experimental Physics at Harvard University (1994-1999), where she developed stabilized diode laser systems for precision atomic spectroscopy and computer-automated data collection and analysis systems. Carla is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She graduated from New York University School of Law, magna cum laude, and received an M.A. in Physics from Harvard University and an A.B. in Physics, summa cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College.
