Cambridge, MA, February 22, 2005 – Lowrie, Lando and Anastasi, LLP (LL&A) today announced that Robert V. Donahoe has joined the firm as an Associate.

Mr. Donahoe was previously an associate in the Patent and Intellectual Property Practice Group at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault in Boston.  He has a background in the electrical and computer fields, with particular experience in analog and digital circuits, electrical power systems, and in computer technology concerning data storage systems, distributed Internet applications and computer security.

In addition to his patent prosecution experience, Mr. Donahoe has been involved in patent and commercial litigation involving cryptographic algorithms, computer systems for on-line data collection, and systems for vehicle tracking.

Anastasi, partner and one of the founders of the firm.  “Our practice in these areas has grown rapidly, and with the addition of Bob to the LL&A team, we are able to expand the depth and capacity of services we provide to our clients,” he added. 

Before entering the field of intellectual property law, Mr. Donahoe spent more than a decade working with electrical power systems and process instrumentation.  His prior work experience includes engineering responsibility for capital projects and on-going maintenance at a co-generation facility, as well as the development and execution of upgrades on customer-owned power system equipment for GE Power Systems.
Bob is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  He graduated from Boston College Law School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, cum laude, from Northeastern University.
