Emily A. Berger and Christopher R. Rhodes Join LL&A
Cambridge, MA, May 19, 2004 -- Lowrie, Lando and Anastasi, LLP (LL&A), a
fast-growing intellectual property law firm, today announced Christopher R. Rhodes and
Emily A. Berger have become associated with the firm.

Chris practices in the areas of patent prosecution and counseling in the chemical, biochemical and biotechnical arts including the areas of medical therapeutics, drug discovery methods, fluorescent and magnetic problems, therapeutic methods, bio-separations, chemical instrumentation, and optical technologies including thin film optical filters.
He joins LL&A after working as a patent agent and technical specialist at Banner & Witcoff’s Boston office. Prior to moving to Boston he interned at the University of Virginia Patent Foundation. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Chris received his Juris Doctor degree with an Intellectual Property concentration with distinction from Suffolk University Law School. He also received a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Virginia and received his bachelor of science degree, cum laude, in chemistry from Roanoke College, Salem, Virginia.
Emily’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling. She has worked on patent litigation in a wide array of technology areas, including telecommunications, medical devices, chemical applications, and materials science.
She joins LL&A after three years as a litigation associate at Fish & Richardson P.C. Emily is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Emily received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law,
where she served as the symposium editor for the Maryland Law Review and on the Moot Court Executive Board. She is a graduate of Tufts University where she received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.
Emily is active in the profession, serving on the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s (AIPLA) IP Practice in Japan Committee and on its Patent Litigation Committee as well as on the Women’s Bar Association’s Legislative Policy Committee. She is also a member of the Boston Patent Law Association, the Boston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
