Practice Area Team & Experience
Litigation

LL&A has a team of experienced, highly-successful litigators, each of whom has a technology background and is a registered patent attorney. In litigation, action is often required when there is no time to consult with a technical expert.

LL&A’s litigators have achieved successful results for their clients in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and related antitrust and unfair competition claims. For technology litigation, LL&A has substantial experience litigating cases involving computer software and hardware (such as commercial software, networking equipment, computer controlled lighting systems and pharmaceutical test equipment), business methods (such as software for controlling investment vehicles), electrical circuits (such as operational amplifiers for medical devices), medical devices (such as catheters, bladder slings and grafts), chemical reagents, chemical processes and biotechnology.

LL&A skillfully handles cases for individuals and businesses large and small, where the needs and optimal strategies for serving those clients can be quite diverse. LL&A’s litigation matters include not only complex litigation for multinational corporations, with concurrently pending cases in multiple jurisdictions, but multiple litigations for young public companies and litigation on behalf of $250 million plus to start-up private companies, as well. LL&A’s practice is evenly divided between plaintiff-side and defense-side litigation, allowing us to provide full service to our clients at all times, and we have cases pending across the country, from Oregon and Washington, to Missouri, to Massachusetts.
