This is an exciting opportunity for bright and dedicated individuals to work with a broad range of clients, including start-ups, investors, universities, and medium-sized and large public companies. Candidates for the program should have outstanding academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills. Candidates must be creative, detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi-task, and enjoy working both independently and as a member of a team in a cutting-edge environment. Qualified candidates will have strong technical skills and preferably a doctoral degree in biotechnology (e.g., molecular biology, immunology, genetics, or cell biology) or in organic chemistry. Technology specialists will work closely with one or more other members of the firm on a wide variety of intellectual property matters including patent prosecution, opinion work, due diligence and general intellectual property counseling. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): drafting, editing, and mailing correspondence, making travel arrangements, time entry and assisting with projects. Prior law office experience a plus.
